Everything below is free, and none of it needs your landlord to be signed up with us.
As we don’t currently work with Your Housing, you can’t submit a staircasing application or a sale through Stairpay. Everything else — the calculators, the Academy and Ask Stairpay — is free for you to use, to manage your home with confidence.

Ask anything about shared ownership, your lease or your costs. These answers are general — the ones about Your Housing specifically are for Your Housing.
Why can’t I use Stairpay fully with Your Housing?
Because we don’t have an agreement with Your Housing yet. Stairpay works by connecting to a landlord’s own records, and by being the route an application actually travels down to their team. Both of those need the landlord to be signed up with us — it isn’t something a resident can switch on. Everything that doesn’t depend on them is free for you to use today.
Is it still worth creating an account?
That depends on what you want from it. If you want to understand shared ownership, work out what buying a bigger share would cost, or get straight answers about your lease, then yes — all of that works and all of it is free. If you specifically need to submit an application to Your Housing, an account here won’t do that, and you should go to Your Housing directly.
Will I have to pay for anything?
No. Stairpay is free for shared owners. Where we work with a landlord, the landlord pays for the service; where we don’t, the free tools are free anyway. There is no paid tier and nothing to upgrade to.
What if Your Housing signs up with Stairpay later?
Then your account is already there and your landlord’s records connect to it. You would not need to create a second one, and this page becomes their page — the address does not change. If you would rather wait, that is fine too; nothing here expires.
How do I get Your Housing to work with Stairpay?
You are welcome to email Your Housing to let them know you have enjoyed using Stairpay and would like full access to the service. If you have any questions, you can always drop us an email.
